We started the day with the Blue Angels! (Well, after shelling out $900 to pick up our van. Sigh….) We went out to Boeing Field and watched them take off, which was AMAZING!!!
The Blues! Notice the godawful air quality. I’m surprised they even flew–the sky is super thick and hazy from wildfires in Canada.
Pilots walking out to the planes:
Revving up the engines–so loud but so exciting!
I didn’t take pix of the actual takeoff because I just wanted to enjoy it!
While there, we visited the Museum of Flight–another freebie with our museum membership. Wahoo!!
LOVE this plane!
Tiny guy, giant engine!
We spent most of the day at the museum (and got to enjoy several Blue Angels fly-bys!), and then we headed to Auntie Lisa’s. Chris and the boys went to pizza with Chris and Cason (so many Chrises!), and Lisa and I went to a yummy seafood restaurant for a girls’ dinner. Guess what I had?!
(The middle one is tuna tartare, in case you were wondering. The other two were oysters!)
