As you undoubtedly have heard, fires are raging in Napa, Sonoma, and Santa Rosa–the California “wine country.” That’s about an hour away from us, so we aren’t in any danger from those fires. Our air quality, though, is pretty awful. Here’s a shot I took Wednesday morning, on our street:
This was taken at about 9am, so it was not sunrise–the orange glow is from all the smoke in the air as the sun tries to break through, not some lovely sunrise.
My heart goes out to all of the people affected in Napa, Sonoma, and Santa Rosa. It’s devastating. We go frequently to that area and know many of the destroyed areas, and we have friends and acquaintances who have lost their homes. Thankfully, no one we know has lost their life, but I know many people have. So very sad….
